UPGRADING FROM v1.0 TO v1.1:
===========================
* A couple of changes this time around. The Trivia Engine is now at an
all time low price. You can register The Trivia Engine now for ONLY
$15. The price was reduced from $25.
* ENGEDIT.EXE will now work even in UNREGISTERED copies of The Trivia
Engine. The ONLY unregistered limit now is the delay going into the
door.
* The display in various areas of the program has been sped up. Sysop's
using slower machines should notice a considerable difference in
certain areas.
* Fixed a small display problem when the program was showing the
number of questions remaining.
* Changed error logging routine. Errors are now printed to a file
called ENGINE.ERR.
* Fixed some multinode file accessing routines. There were no
problems reported, but one may have occurred if there were quite
a few users in the door at the same time.
* The KEY file routine has changed in this version. Folks who have
already registered The Trivia Engine, will have to contact Lounge
Software to obtain a NEW KEY file. This of course is given at no
additional charge to those who have already registered.
* You will now be able to run various games from the 1 copy of The
Trivia Engine. Simply create a subdirectory for each game you wish
to run in your Trivia Engine directory and place the appropriate
files there. More info on this in ENG.DOC. The basic way the game
works has changed considerably, so it is in your best interest to
read ENG.DOC to find out how it works now :)
UPGRADING FROM v1.0 TO v1.1:
===========================
* READ ENG.DOC!
* Run ENGINV11.EXE in the your Trivia Engine directory. When it asks
if you want to overwrite the first file, answer "A" to overwrite ALL
files. Then you can create subdirectories off of the Trivia Engine
directory for any games that you currently have running and place
their data files and OPEN.ANS screens in each respective subdirectory.
* READ ENG.DOC & ENGINE.DOC! They both basically contain a breakdown
of how The Trivia Engine works now, so it is important to read them
since you will need to create NEW .CFG files for any games you are
now running, using ENCFG.EXE.
That's it! Give ENGEDIT.EXE a try as well now since there is no
unregistered limit on it. You will be able to edit and delete
records from your data files, which will make life alot easier :)
Thanks all!
